As hospitals strive to become more efficient and automated, inpatient medication services must evolve as well. Today, oral medication administration still relies heavily on manual nursing tasks, placing additional strain on an already limited nursing workforce.

This Inpatient Medication Service System reimagines the medication workflow to reduce human error, improve operational efficiency, enhance medication traceability, and increase patient satisfaction. By automating routine tasks and streamlining the delivery process, the system enables nurses to spend less time on logistics and more time providing high-quality patient care.

Guided by an evidence-based design process, we optimized the end-to-end oral medication workflow and introduced a flexible, mobile solution comprising connected touchpoints, delivery devices, and storage systems. The modular design allows hospitals to adapt and scale the system to meet the needs of different clinical environments.
